Our experience in restaurants in Australia, London,  Ireland and Canada has shown us that the best meals are made with the food found literally in our own backyards. Lobster, scallops, goose-tongue greens, humanely-raised pork as well as garden vegetables and herbs travel the short distance from our backyard or the harbour across the street to your plate. These tastes, which can be found nowhere else in the world, inspired us to renovate our century-home into the Wild Caraway Restaurant and Café. We provide guests with affordable, delicious, locally-sourced meals served in a uniquely colourful setting overlooking the world-famous tides of the Bay of Fundy. See the taste.

Soup of the Moment: fresh homemade soup, served with our own bread


Seafood Chowder: the Maritime favourite with scallops, prawns, haddock and halibut, served with our own bread


Fish ‘n’ Chips: lightly battered haddock with hand-cut fries, homemade coleslaw, tartar sauce and lemon


Cheeseburger: 1/3 pound beef, 

tomato, lettuce, onion and pickle on a toasted bun with fries or garden salad


Fish Cakes: the traditional favourite made with haddock, halibut, fresh herbs and capers, with house-baked beans and a wee salad


Grilled Chicken Burger: chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo on a lightly toasted bun with hand-cut fries or garden salad


Club Sandwich: double decker sandwich with sage-roasted turkey, cheddar cheese, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and homemade mayo, served with hand-cut fries or garden salad


Pasta of the Day: uses local and seasonal ingredients; served with a warm bread roll


Caesar Salad: house-smoked chicken breast or local scallops, Farmgate bacon, croutons and shaved parmesan Reggiano Parmesan


Apple & Pecan Salad: Romaine lettuce, Valley apples, candied pecans, aged cheddar, and a vanilla-apple vinaigrette

Soup: Tom Yum Goong: a traditional Thai soup of fragrant kaffir lime , ginger and cilantro broth, with shrimp, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes


Croquettes: Spanish salt cod and potato fritters with smoked paprika aioli


Caprese Salad: a composed salad with cherry tomatoes, basil, sheep feta and fresh mozzarella with a light olive oil dressing and sea salt


Mains


Halibut: pan-fried local filet, barigoule of Nova Scotian beans, red carrots and mushrooms, with a salad of fennel and crispy sunchokes from our garden


Scallops: pan-seared Advocate scallops, confit fingerling potatoes, pea puree, local bacon, herb sour cream dressing


Smoked Pork Belly: house-smoked local pork belly, mustard mashed potatoes, wild caraway braised red cabbage and local crabapple sauce


Steak: 12 oz grilled rib eye, hand cut fries, garden salad and sauce Béarnaise


Sweetness


Chocolate: dark chocolate and lavender mousse, frangipane cigars and crunchy almond cream
